Guess what everyone? Jo’s 10th anniversery of Harry Potter IS COMING SOON! September 28th, that’s when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was realesed. Thanks for the ten years of great effort Jo! To celebrate this, Scholastic is holding a read-around at their headquarters – fans that attend will take turns reading from the book. The first 100 will also recieve a special edition of the Sorcerer’s Stone! Here for more info. The anniversery edition’s cover looks as follows:

HBP Delayed Until July 17th 2009

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was set to be released November 21st 2008. The Warner Brothers have decided to delay this release date until July 17th 2009. I’m too upset to write more sorry.

Fan Fiction

Hey Everyone

I decided to start my own Fan Fiction. Fan Fiction is something that fans of a movie, book, series, ect can do – write a sequel to it. I have started (instead of Harry Potter) Lily Potter, Harry and Ginny’s last child. I started only the prologue so far:

The dark clouds overhead covered the evening sunlight, making the air feel eerie and cold. Pilken stood on the middle of the porch, staring up at the moldy looking sky. His face was hidden in the high collar of his travelling cloak, but you could still see his black eyes and flat nose.

            Pilken was here for a reason. Well he had always been everywhere for a reason. Never had he disobeyed his master, and he was his master’s very favorite.

            He sighed.

            The dark times were over. They had fell, and drowned into nothingness, leaving the wizarding world peaceful and free. The world was happy once more. It needed to change. It was going to change. That’s why he was here.

            Vinerest walked over to him, wand in hand and boots thumping loudly. He put his hand on Pilken’s shoulder, and gripped hard. His voice came out harshly.

            “It is time.”

            Pilken had no choice but to follow his master into the old ragged shack that they had hidden in for the past 28 or so years.

            More Death Eaters had arrived and seated themselves around the dark redwood table. Vinerest sat at the head, Pilken beside him. They began to speak.

            “Fellow Death Eaters!” yelled Vinerest. “We have waited for the time to come, waited for the time we were given to act. And we have waited that!”

            Cheers and yells erupted from around the table, but stopped suddenly when Vinerest raised his hands, motioning to stop.

            “What have we been waiting for?” he continued. “Thus; We have been in hiding for the past 28 years, hiding from Aurors, and the Ministry, for they think we have all perished long ago. The Dark Lord had planned this hiding, wanting some extras to take over in case something happens. And something did happen indeed. We have watched the Dark Lord rise as a new beginning, fall when his curse rebounds, rise with the blood of the enemy, then finally fall for good when Harry Potter kills him. That’s when we come in. The Dark Lord’s orders were to keep in hiding until the wizarding community was too stupid enough to believe there are Death Eaters still alive. We have waited till then. Not even the Potter boy believes it. He, of course, witnessed and battled the day the Dark Lord fell, meaning he witnessed the death of the Dark Lord and many Death Eaters. Since then he thinks the only remaining Death Eaters are Lucious and Narcissa Malfoy, who have turned away from the dark side. He was of course wrong.

            “Now that it is time, we shall finish the job the Dark Lord did not. We shall kill Harry Potter. We shall kill all the Potters. The Ministry shall be in our hands. We shall rule once again. There will be no such thing as Aurors. We’ve been waiting for…”

            He flicked his wand.

            A horribly familiar skull with a snake dangling from its mouth appeared in the night sky.

            “That.”

More Stuff! GREAT STUFF!

Hi Everyone

I am really excited right now! The HBP trailer has finally arrived! Click here to see it! Here’s a quick summary:

The trailer begins with Dumbledore showing Harry his memories related to Voldemort, explaining that a certain one is the most important memory he ever collected. He shows Harry the memory, and it shows this:

Dumbledore is taking a trip to a muggle orphanage, to explain to a child that he is a wizard and has been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This child is the younger Lord Voldemort. Mrs. Cole, owner of the orphanage, explains to Dumbledore that Riddle has never had a visitor before, and when Dumbledore sits accross from him – Riddle is convinced he is a doctor that Mrs. Cole has sent to check him out. However, Dumbledore proves he is “different” by burning a cabinent into flames.

Then Riddle explains what he can do. He can make people hurt if he wants to. He can make things move without touching them. When he says this – flashes of other parts of the movie appears. It shows Harry running through weeds near the burrow during the Death Eater’s attack, then Fenrir Greyback peeking through the weeds, watching Ginny Weasley. Then it shows Ron when he was poisoned, and Harry standing over him. Lastly, Riddle explains the most surprising thing to Dumbledore. He can speak to snakes.

After the title card is shown, Dumbledore and Harry speak. Harry asks “Sir, did you know. Then?”. Dumbledore replies “Did I know I just met the most dangerous dark wizard of all time?” then finally “No”.

The end

Other news is: The Tales of Beetle and Bard is being published! J.K Rowling had planned only to hand-write 7 copies of The Tales of Beetle and Bard, for people she wanted to thank only, but now it will be published on December 4th! You can preorder it on http://www.amazon.com! If you are going to purchase any other Harry Potter books – I would also reccomend Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

And this is kinda late, sorry, but: Happy Birthday Harry! Harry Potter is now turning 28 (born July 31st 1980) sharing his birthday with J.K Rowling and the actor of Uncle Vernon! Wow that’s a lot isn’t it! Happy Birthday everyone!! To celebrate this special occasion, the Warner Brothers have 15% off all Harry Potter products until August 4th! Enjoy! I ordered a couple things - a hoodie that says “I somenly swear I am up to no good” on the front and “Mischeif Managed!” on the back, a Dumbledore’s Army T-Shirt, and the Marauder’s Map! Check it out while it lasts.

Hey Guys,

Sorry about the delay on posts and updates. I’ve been on vacation the past week and just got back. Since then I’ve been caring and looking after two very hyper schnoodle puppies. And tomorrow I am leaving again for a trip to South Dakota. Busy time I got here, so very sorry about all of that. The Leaky Podcast and New Picture!

Hey Guys

My friend does podcasts, and I thought they were pretty neat. If you don’t know what a podcast is, it’s a recording of a voice that you can play here. I was thinking of doing some podcasts here! I’d call it The Leaky Podcast. But I won’t be able to make them over the summer because Audacity is on my other computer, so I might as well start when school starts: early September. Tell me what you think.

Minor News

I somenly swear I am up to no good…

I was just searching some stuff and found some minor news. It’s not VERY important but it’s just gerneral stuff you might wanna know:

First thing: Emma Watson, actor of Hermione Granger in the past 5 Harry Potter films, was given the “2008 Constellation Award” honoring Canada’s favorite science fiction TV series and movies on July 15th, awarding her work on the Order of the Phoenix movie. -From MuggleNet

Second Thing: Jason Isaacs, actor of Lucious Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, said in an interview

“I am not in number six unfortunately, but I hope to be in number seven which starts next year and I haven’t seen the scripts. If I am not in it I will be picketing the set to be sure.”

Fortuately, Isaacs has a larger role in the 7th film, from what I’ve read in the book, and the 5th isn’t the last we’ve seen him. Seems like he hasn’t read the last book if he doesn’t even know that! -From MuggleNet

Third Thing: (This is kinda old but still) Lord Voldemort was awarded “Top 25 Movie Villan of All Time” by AOL Moviefone. Even though in the last 5 films, Voldemort hasn’t shown much harsh evilness yet, but once the 6th and 7 part one and part two come out, he will show his real darkside. AOL Moviefone gave the following description:

“He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is the most powerful dark wizard to ever wave a wand, and he schemes to enslave the whole Muggle world. His slithering presence has been minimal in the films so far, but we’ve all read the books, so we know how much more evil he’ll become.” -From MuggleNet

Fourth Thing: There was an interview with Orlando’s top chef, Jayson. The interview was titled “Universal Orlando’s Top Chef Talks About Mythos, Food Trends… and Harry Potter”. Jayson was asked what kinds of food would be served at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and his response was:

“We’ve visited Scotland to get a real close, personal look at the cuisine that they eat. We’re going to have one restaurant that’s going to have a nice selection of items that you would probably expect to see in that vein of cooking, and I think it is going to be great.”

Jayson was also asked if Pumpkin Juice was to be sold.

“Pumpkin juice, butterbeer,” Jayson laughed. “All those great beverages, we are working on a lot of different things.” -From Theme Park Insider

Last Thing: Rumor is the Half-Blood Prince actual teaser trailer will arrive to us August 1st, although this is not an official date because it came from the Warner Brothers in Mexico, not the US where it would be official. It will be shown with the movie Mummy. -From MuggleNet
